Christopher McNeese, of A & B Cycle, created a petition recently for more bicycle lanes in Springfield. In the interview post on Carbon Trace, his impetus was the newly available infrastructure improvement funds that came from a recent 1/8 cent sales tax hike.  The petition is to show seemingly reluctant local officials that there is a need and desire for safe riding routes and awareness.
Local bicycle shops are circulating the petition now.  If you live in or near Springfield, MO, roll into a local shop and show your support.
