Storck’s long-proven T.I.X. cyclocross platform made the shift to gravel last year with its GRIX redesign & renaming. No, Grix takes its mixed-surface capabilities further with a wide-ranging SRAM Rival eTap AXS upgrade.

At the same time, the popular aero road Storck Aerfast3 also gets a new Rival AXS build, becoming a surprising way to afford an aerodynamic, disc brake carbon road bike with wireless shifting, a power meter, and deep section DT Swiss aero carbon wheels…

Storck GRIX Pro gravel bike, w/ SRAM Rival eTap AXS Wide update

From the start of last year, the GRIX replaced the TIX as Storck’s mixed-surface do-it-all dropbar bike. While T.I.X. stood for This Is Cross, and we raced that CX bike hard six cyclocross seasons ago, the rebadged & redesigned GRIX (gravel racing is cross, now?) is more versatile than ever.

Taking many of the great qualities of the CX original – lightweight, oversized stiff lower half for excellent power transfer, thinner & tapered upper half for endurance comfort – the gravel redesign gave the Grix more versatility.

The Storck Grix improved tire clearance over the TIX, with the same short 425mm chainstay, now in an asymmetric dropped configuration to allow for up to 27.5 x 2.1″ tires (or about 700x42mm). Its gravel shift also gave the bike slightly longer reach and higher stack for a more upright position on the bike, while retaining steep angles for fast handling.

The 3500€ complete bike uses the more affordable 1100g frame, built up with Storck alloy bars & seatpost, and DT Swiss P1800 alloy wheels with 700x40mm Schwalbe G-One Bite gravel tires.

Storck Aerfast3 Comp also gets a SRAM Rival eTap AXS update

The popular Aerfast3 Comp Disc was already seen as Storck’s most affordable entry into the premium carbon aero road bike segment. And now a Rival AXS group build give that bike a suitably premium wireless setup, including a power meter at a more approachable pricepoint – under the pre-order code name: MARS.

The Storck Aerfast3 Comp Rival AXS bike definitely still isn’t cheap at 4400€. But that starts to look at a high-value setup when you combine the 1050g aero carbon frame, wide-set 390g carbon fork, Stock’s own one-piece integrated carbon handlebar + stem combo, a wireless eTap AXS 2x12sp drivetrain with hydraulic disc brakes, and a SRAM power meter crankset. That price even includes a Storck-specific set DT ARC aero carbon wheels, with total bike weight claims from 7.9kg.

Both the GRIX Rival AXS gravel & Aerfast3 Rival AXS road bikes can be pre-ordered from Storck now, with first bike deliveries starting in June 2021.

T.I.X. owner here, the reach of the GRIX is actually shorter, not longer. For size M half a cm.

Has the wheelbase changed? And the bb drop? TIX has a fairly high bb.
