The new Cannondale Adventure Neo could be one of the most well thought through, comprehensive urban e-bikes we’ve seen to date. With a claimed 85-mile range, suspension seatpost, step-thru frame design, integrated lights and a rear-facing radar, this commuter e-bike kinda has it all.
Cannondale Adventure Neo
A recent US Congress e-bike bill proposes a tax rebate for all e-bike purchases, making the decision to swap out your car for an e-bike more attractive than ever. The bill will allow riders to claim back 30% of a bike’s purchase price up to $1,500, applicable to purchases up to $8,000. The launch of the Cannondale Adventure Neo couldn’t have been timed better, seemingly.
Cannondale reckon this is the most comfortable bike you’ll ever ride. A bold claim. But, with its upright geometry, step-through frame, 63mm travel fork and suspension seat post, they may not be wrong.
The Cannondale Adventure Neo is available in sizes SM and LG, both running 27.5″ wheels. There are four builds available, three of which are EQ models, meaning “Equipped”. That means they have racks to carry your stuff, fenders to keep you clean, integrated lights to improve your visibility, and kickstands for easy parking. And that’s just the beginning…
The top-end Neo 1 EQ model also gets a rear-facing Garmin Radar. This alerts the rider to vehicles approaching from behind, so you can keep your eyes focused on the road ahead. The more expensive Neo 1 EQ and Neo 2 EQ models also get the Cane Creek Thudbuster G4 suspension seat post which uses elastomers to take the edge off bumps when riding rough terrain.
