Our tradeshow coverage from Eurobike and Interbike is just about done. Yes, it’s been a month since we’ve returned home (two since Eurobike!), but, well, Bikerumor covers the halls from top to bottom. More and better than any other site, so we’ve had plenty to pump out. And it’s not like the travel and other product announcements have slowed. Seriously, there’s just no cycle anymore…it’s a year ’round free for all. Anywhoo, enjoy the roundups this week, there’s lots to see, and plenty that should entertain.

Above, a Fixed city bike for kids. After all, it’s never too early to start them on the way to knee pain and worn out tires. Fortunately, this one comes with a flip flop hub and front and rear brakes for parents who’s own tight jeans haven’t cut off blood supply to their gray matter. Plenty more for the little’uns below…

Sadly, that’s the bike stand, not pegs.

Valdora-Kids-Triathlon-Bikes

The new Valdora Sprint are kids’ triathlon bikes with adult-level components most of the way around. That includes fairly standard cranks, handlebar and drivetrain, putting this more in the range of 10 year olds.

Shifting is controlled by Shimano SIS rocker levers on the top of the bars.

We posted this with our full Commencal coverage. But, by golly, a scoot bike with hydraulic disc brakes is just worth a second look.

Wishbone-Designs-recycle-PET-kids-bikes-and-bigwheels

Wishbone’s 3-in-1 bike design grows with your child. From the time when they can barely balance themselves to when they don’t want you to dare try to hold on (or keep up).

The original is made of wood, but they now offer the Recycled Edition that’s made from recycled PET bottles.

And if your princess prizes fashion over your adult judgement, the booth with the Hello Kitty collection is an annual pink assault on my senses.

I swear she’s flipping us off.

It’s too bad. This review lost all value right about your comments about other bikers. Stereotype much?

Nice recap, I love the Wishbone push bike, as well as the big boy bikes on the other page. For those who will never afford a ti bike that will get outgrown in two years, the Specialized hotrock is hard to beat. I’ve had 12, 16 and now on 20 incher for my son, all for about $100 each from Craigslist. The 20 inch takes many normal sized components, allowing me to reuse an old xtr rear derailleur and v brake set I’ve had sitting around.

I do find it amazing how sensitive adults get about harmless cracks/jokes in these articles. Just goes to show that the tight jeans do cut off the circulation…

Was Islabikes at this show? They opened a warehouse and showroom in Portland OR this spring to sell in the US.
I’m disappointed in that Valdora bike, the SIS rocker levers are pure BSO crap since almost every 24″ wheel drop bar bike I have seen lately has either STI shifters or proper bar end shifters for little retro grouches. Also those crankarms look a little too long.
