Just because you need extra storage for your bike doesn’t mean it has to be heavy. Adding to their excellent family of B-RAD accessory products, Wolf Tooth Components has put their roll-top bags on a diet with the new B-RAD TekLite Roll-Top line.
It’s becoming far more common to get your gear off your back, out of your pockets, and onto your bike. The weight is then placed lower, it’s more comfortable, and probably safer as well in the event of a crash. The WTC Roll-Top bags have proven to be a great way to do just that with mounting options for under your saddle, on your frame, or bolted to bottle mounts or B-RAD mounts – all with the same bag.
Now those same bags have just gotten lighter thanks to the use of an Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) material, that keeps things strong, flexible, durable, and water repellent.
For the bag and strap alone, that means the weights have dropped to 167.5g for the 1L option, and 157g for the bag and strap on the smaller 0.6L option.
Both bags offer a decent amount of storage, but the 1L will obviously allow for more gear while still fitting well on most bikes and frames. The roll-top design with a Duraflex buckle combined with sealed seams should keep out any water – I’ve used the original in complete downpours and it kept the contents bone dry.
Both the 0.6L and 1L bags will be sold two ways – just the bag and strap, or the bag, strap, and a B-RAD mounting plate with the necessary hardware to mount it to a bottle cage mount or B-RAD Base.
