2010 Felt Road, Cyclocross and Track Bikes

2010_felt_ar1_roadbikeFelt has an extensive lineup of 2010 road bikes for men, women and even children.  Starting with the top of the line AR1 (Aero Road) carbon fiber bike shown above, the line runs the gamut from entry level to super high end.

The AR1 and AR2 share Felt’s new UHC-Nano Ultra Hybrid Composite Carbon w/ Nanotube technology Modular Monocoque Carbon Fiber Frame w/ 3KP Finish.  They have internal cable routing, Carbon Fiber dropouts & 7075 CNC machined replaceable derailleur hanger.  The fork is Felt’s 1.1A Bladed Aero UHC-Nano Ultra Hybrid Composite Carbon w/ Nanotube technology, 100% Carbon Fiber monocoque Fork w/ Carbon Dropouts.

The AR1 goes electric with Shimano 7970 Di2 Dura-Ace shifters and derailleurs, Dura-Ace 7900 crankset, chain and cassette.  The rest of the spec is: OVAL Aergo R910 bar 700K Carbon Fiber handlebar, OVAL R910 RBT Carbon/aluminum Matrix construction stem w/ R910 RBT Aero front Cap Upgrade Kit & Titanium bolts, Felt 1.1a UHM Carbon Fiber standard offset bladed monocoque seatpost, Felt 159g Devox Team Issue saddle w/ 100% 3k Carbon Fiber weave base, MicroFiber cover & 3k Carbon Fiber rails and Shimano Dura-Ace 50mm deep 16H front 20H rear Carbon Fiber wheels.  MSRP is $9,999 USD, Sizes: 51, 54, 56, 58, 61cm.  There’s also a AR1 Team Issue that gets regular Dura-Ace 7900 drivetrain bits, Zipp wheels and 3T cockpit parts.  It retails for $8,999 USD.

The F2010 Felt AR2 (click to enlarge any photo in this post) is shown with two treatments, one with a Ritchey stem (left) and one with a housebrand Felt stem.  Its drivetrain is mostly Dura-Ace 7900 with Ultegra chain and cassette, Felt-exclusive custom Zipp wheels (700c 38mm deep UD Carbon Fiber rim w/ M2CM CNC machined aluminum braking surface, 18H front/20H rear) and Ritchey bits.  $6,999 USD.  All 2010 Felt road bikes use FSA headsets and Vittoria tires.

The AR3 and AR4 are also carbon, but their frames are a less exotic UHM Ultra-High Modulus Modular Monocoque Carbon Fiber Frame w/ 3KP Finish, internal cable routing, Carbon Fiber dropouts & replaceable derailleur hanger.  They both use full-carbon Felt forks w/ carbon dropouts, but the AR3 gets a higher end monocoque version.  The AR3 has a full SRAM Red drivetrain and brakes, with Felt cockpit parts and wheels and retails for $4,499.  The AR4 has a Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and  brakes with Felt cockpit and wheels, MSRP is $3,499. There’s also an AR5 that shares the fork with the AR4 but is spec’d with Shimano 105 shifters and derailleurs, FSA Gossamer cranks and Felt components.  It has an MSRP of $2,999

2010_felt_f1sl_roadbike2010 Felt F1SL is a 900g frame composed of Felt UHC-Nano Ultra Hybrid Carbon w/ Nanotube technology Carbon Fiber Frame w/ 3KP Finish. Carbon Dropout & 7075 CNC machined Replaceable Hanger.  It has a 300g Felt 1.1 fork made of 100% UHC-Nano Ultra Hybrid Carbon w/ Nanotube technology Carbon Fiber in a Monocoque design w/ 3KP Finish.  The fork has the Felt Compression Device, ___________.  The bike is spec’d with full Shimano Dura-Ace 7900, Felt Devox UHC-Nano Ultra Hybrid Composite Carbon Fiber Monocoque handlebar, Felt Devox 7050 aluminum 3D forged Carbon Fiber H-Clamp stem, Felt 1.1 UHM Carbon Fiber monocoque seatpost, and Felt’s 159g Devox Team Issue saddle w/ 100% 3k Carbon Fiber weave base, MicroFiber cover & 3k Carbon Fiber rails.  Wheels are Shimano’s carbon fiber WH-7850-C24-CL.  Full bike MSRP is $6,999 USD and it’s available in six sizes: 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60cm.

The F2, F3, F4 and F5 are still carbon, but use a more wallet-friendly Felt UHM Ultra-High Modulus Modular Carbon Fiber Frame w/ 3KP Finish. forged Dropout & Replaceable Hanger.  The F2 and F3 use Felt’s 320g 1.2 fork, made of UHM Ultra-High Modulus Carbon Fiber Monocoque design w/ 3KP Finish,  aluminum Dropouts w/ Felt Compression Device.  The F2 (not shown) uses Shimano Di2 electronic shifters and derailleurs, Dura-Ace crankset and Ultegra brakes, chain and cassette and an MSRP of $5,999.  The F3 (above, left) has full SRAM Red, Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels and Felt cockpit parts and will retail for $3,499.

The F4 (above, right) gets Felt’s 1.3 HM carbon fork, Shimano Ultegra drivetrain, Felt cockpit and Shimano wheels. MSRP is $2,999 USD.

The Felt F5 (above, left) uses Felt’s 1.4 HM Carbon fork and is spec’d with Shimano 105, Felt cockpit and Mavic hubs laced with DT Swiss spokes to Felt hubs.  MSRP is $1,999, and there’s a slightly up-spec’d “Team” version with 3T cockpit parts and Felt aero wheels for $2,299.

The F95 uses Felt’s custom butted 7005 aluminum frame with integrated shifter/brake Lever, Sora clamp on front derailleur, Tiagra rear derailleur, FSA TEMPO compact, 3-pc, aluminum, 50/34T crankset, Sunrace R90-series 9-Speed 11-25T cassette and basic Felt cockpit parts.  Retail is $749, and there’s a higher end F75 (not shown) with a lighter alloy frame and Shimano 105 spec that retails for $1,499.

2010_felt_f24_roadbikeThe Felt F24 children’s road bike uses Felt’s F-Lite custom butted 7005 aluminum frame with their carbon bladed fork (1-1/8″ Cr-Mo steerer & aluminum crown).  It’s spec’d with an integrated short-reach shifter/brake Lever, Sora clamp on front derailleur, Sora rear derailleur, K-Lite Kids compact, 3-pc, aluminum, 50/36T; 155mm crankset, Sunrace R60-series 8-Speed 12-24T cassette and Felt cockpit parts.  MSRP is $699.

2010_felt_f15x_cyclocrossThe 2010 Felt F15X Cyclocross Bike uses Felt’s Cyclocross Specific custom butted Ultra-light Oversized 7005 aluminum w/ hydroformed frame with a shoulder friendly top tube flat, carbon fiber seatstay, CNC headtube & BB shell, 1 piece forged dropouts, integrated rear brake cable stop, forged dropout and replaceable hanger.  Steering is handled by Easton’s EC70X ‘cross carbon fiber fork, while shifting is done with SRAM Red shifters and rear derailleur, Force front derailleur and S500 aluminum 46/38 cranks. TRP brakes and Felt cockpit parts and wheels round out the package for their top-of-the-line ‘cross bike.  MSRP is $2,799.

The Felt F75X cyclocross bike (above, left) uses a less oversized frame than the F15, but still custom-butted 7005 aluminum and carbon seatstays with a Felt carbon ‘cross specific fork.  Drivetrain is Shimano 105 with FSA cranks and Tektro brakes.  MSRP is $1,699 USD.

The F95X (above, right) gets a custom-butted full 7005 aluminum frame and Felt carbon ‘cross fork.  It’s spec’d with Shimano Sora and Tiagra with FSA cranks and retails for $999 USD.  All three ‘cross bike are available in 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 and 59cm sizes.

2010_felt_tk2_trackbikeThe 2010 Felt TK2 Track Bike has a track-specific custom butted Super-light 7005 smooth welded aluminum frame with full aero 70mm deep seat tube w/ rear wheel recess and a semi-aero shaped downtube. It has a bladed monostay and aero seatstays w/ horizontal CNC dropouts w/ stainless steel inserts.  The fork is Felt’s track-specific model with carbon legs and aluminum steerer, and the crown is drilled for front brake installation.  Cranks are Truvativ Omniums with a polished black and gold CNC chainring to match the black/gold KMC chain.  A Deda Pista handlebar mates up to Felt parts the rest of the way around, and it all rolls on Felt TKR2 track wheels on 42mm deep rims.  It’s $1,399 and comes in  52, 54, 56, 58 and 60cm sizes.

The 2010 TK3 gets a slightly different frame with 60mm deep aero seat tube and TIG pulse welded (not smooth like th TK2) tubes.  Shaping of the rest of the tubes match the TK2.  It has a cold forged aluminum track crankset with 48T B.C.D. CNC aluminum chainring and KMC chain.

2010_felt_z2_roadbikeThe 2010 Felt Z2 Road Bike is their classic racing geometry.  It’s a UHM Modular carbon-fiber frame with 3K finish, forged dropouts and replaceable derailleur hanger.  It uses Felt’s 1.2 UHC-Nano (Ultra Hybrid Composite) monocoque carbon fiber 1 piece fork w/ 3K Finish, aluminum dropouts, 1 1/8″ steerer w/ Felt Compression Device mated to an FSA headset.  It’s equipped with electronic Shimano Di2 Dura-Ace shifters and derailleurs, Ultegra compact (50/34) crankset, chain and cassette (11-25), Felt Devox carbon handlebar and seatpost, Devox aluminum stem, Felt saddle and Shimano WH-RS80 carbon fiber wheels.  MSRP is $5,999 and comes in  51, 54, 56, 58 and 61cm sizes.

The 2010 Z4 (above, left) and Z5 use the same frame as the Z2, but with successively (but slightly) less glamous carbon forks.  The Z4 gets a full Ultegra group (both use compact cranksets) and Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels, while the Z5 is Shimano 105 with FSA Omega cranks and Mavic rims laced to Felt hubs, and both are spec’d with a variety of Felt cockpit components.  Same sizes as the Z2, and MSRP’s are $2,999 (Z4) and $1,999 (Z5).

The Z6 shares the frame, fork and FSA Omega cranks with the Z5, but the equipment spec drops to Shimano Tiagra / Sora.  Felt bits complete the cockpit.  MSRP is $1,599 USD.  Pictured above right is the aluminum framed Z85, which uses Felt’s classic racing geometry in a custom-butted Super-Light 7005 frame with smooth welding, CNC headtube and BB shell, forged dropouts and replaceable hanger.  It’s spec’d with Shimano 105 and FSA Vero compact crankset, Felt aluminum handlebar and stem and carbon seatpost.  Felt hubs with Alex R500 rims round it out.  MSRP is $1,149 and it’s available in the same sizes as the carbon Z-series bikes.  There’s also a Z100 with their F-light frame tubing and lesser spec for $769.

2010_felt_zw2_usa_roadbikeFelt ‘s 2010 lineup has a full range of performance and race-ready women’s bikes dubbed the ZW series.  The 2010 Felt ZW2 Women’s Road Bike, above, has their UHM Composite Carbon Modular Carbon Fiber Frame w/ 3KP Finish, forged Dropouts & Replaceable Hanger.  The fork is a women’s specific 1.2 UHC-Nano monocoque carbon fork with aluminum dropouts and Felt’s Compression Device.  It’s speced with Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 for everything but the chain and cassette, which are Ultegra. It has a 50/34 compact crankset and comes with Ritchey Pro Evolution Carbon Fiber handlebar, Felt Devox 7050 aluminum 3D forged Carbon Fiber H-Clamp stem, Felt 1.1 Carbon Fiber Monocoque seatpost, Felt FIT WOMAN Race saddle anatomic Carbon Fiber base w/ pressure relief zone, custom cover & CrN-Ti rails.  Rollin’ on Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels, it retails for $,999 and comes in Small, Medium and Tall.

They also offer the ZW2 650, a 650B-wheeled “Petite” model that’s spec’d and priced the same.

The ZW4 (above, left, also available in a 650B size) and ZW5 both use a High Modulus carbon fiber frame w/ 3KP finish and paint, forged dropouts and replaceable hangers.  The ZW4 is full Ultegra (compact crankset) with Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels (the 650B size has Alex A-Class ALX220 aero wheels) and retails for $2,999.

The ZW5 gets Shimano 105 with FSA Vero 53/39 cranks, Felt cockpit parts and hubs mated to Alex R500 rims built with paint-matching purple nips.  MSRP for the Z5 is $1,999

The ZW6 shares the HM carbon frame / fork and wheels with the ZW5 but is spec’d down with Tiagra and Sora bits to come in at $1,599.

The ZW95, also available in a 650B size uses Felt’s Super-Light custom butted 7005 alloy frame with smooth welds and carbon seat stays.  The fork is Felt’s FIT WOMAN carbon-bladed model with aluminum steerer and crown..  It’s spec’d with Sora shifters and front derailleur, Tiagra rear derailleur and FSA Vero compact cranks.  MSRP is $1,099.  There’s also the ZW100 (not shown) with their F-Lite alloy frame, Shimano 2303/Sora drivetrain with FSA Tempo Triple cranks and Felt bits for $769 (regular and 650B models).
