Photo submitted by Bewer, “My titanium fatbike tandem. The location is nearby the Stromberg ridge west of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.”

More info about the bike: “The Ti-Tandem is realized ideal of a Fatbike tandem. Skydecomp, a French titanium bike manufacturer has realized my ideas according to my plans. I have added some parts which are also based on my ideals i.e. the Fat Forx tandem fork. It’s an evolution of a famous ‘standard’ tandem fork of Jürgen Steiner. Brakes are from BrakeforceOne based on water, captain’s stem and the bars are Renthal, the seatposts are titanium ones from VanNicholas. Wheels as you can see are Nextie, because it’s the only manufacturer producing monocoque carbon wheels for Fatbikes. Drivetrain components are Shimano XT 11speed and Surly MrWhirly cranks. Weight, which was one of my objektives, is under 20 kg, means 19,9 kg. Second was to make the rear section compatible with Rohloff speed hubs. This is possible by a sliding dropout design. Overall invest was round about 8.000 EUR. The TiTandem is [fat]astic as you can see on the frame. Driving behaviour is excellent and we have done a lot of rides meanwhile.”

We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

Unless your both featherweights you are probably exceeding the weight limit on those tri spoke wheels.

Is that 200kg per wheel? Or 200kg for both wheels?

200kg static weight i would guess for each wheel. That wouldnt necessary be able to cope with 400 kg dynamic load. Or impulse load pf 500 kg that your probably loading when you hit a rut or obstacle. Tyres are fairly low pressure so might even out but its fairly much on the line.

I am always amazed at the shear number of bicycle design engineers that are on the Internet. Sweet ride!
