The new MET Eldar youth helmet takes the shape and coverage of their best selling Roam trail helmet and sizes it down for kids. That means extended rear and temple coverage, a 360° retention system to eliminate pressure points, and a removable, adjustable visor.

Still gets the channels over the brow, and slick in-molded shell that looks like a much more expensive helmet. The rear retention system is sized for kids heads and HS an oversized adjustment bezel to make it easy to use. Retail is €55 (£45). It has a reflective rear sticker and comes in at a claimed 275g. One size, fits 52-57cm heads.

Once they had that, they thought big “kids” would like an affordable but well featured helmet too, so they developed the Echo adult version.

It comes in two sizes 52-57 and 57-60, but with a different retention system that’s broader and has a smaller dial. And it’s compatible with their Duo LED Light that plugs onto the dial. Retail is €60 (£50 / $69). Claimed weight is 280-300g depending on size.
