There were a few new tools at Park Tool’s Eurobike 2019 booth, but mostly it was updates and improvements to make their current bits more useful on today’s bikes. They were also displaying their classic workstands which got an upgrade with the PCS-9.2 and 10.2 models earlier this year.

The PRS-33.2 Lift Assist Shop Stand gets a new version with bigger hooks, a new carriage tray with bigger buttons and integrated USB ports for charging and diagnosis of eBikes.

Note the hidden USB ports in the tool tray, letting you charge wireless shifting systems and plug in e-bikes for updates, etc.

Also now includes the PRS-33TT tool tray, which will also be available separately and fits the PRS-2OS, PRS-2.2, PRS-3OS, PRS-3.2 and PRS-4.2 stands.

With more bikes going to narrower 12-speed chains and cog spacing, they had to finally update all the chain whips, chain breakers and chain checkers to fit them. For the latter two, they also had to make them accommodate SRAM’s new FlatTop chains, which use a different chain pin diameter.

They’ve added more hex-tip screwdrivers for easy derailleur adjustments. And, for those who’ve resorted to toenail clippers to get those zip tie (aka “cable tie”) ends flush, they now offer the ZP-5 snips that will cut those ties super flat…no more snaggy ends!

The WH-2 (on right) is a smaller, single-position version of the multi-position WH-1 Wheel Holder that launched earlier this year. It includes the same axle adaptors, but only one position.

The new HBT-1 is a hydraulic brake hose cutter that also presses the hose barb in perfectly straight.

Not shown, there’s a new CM-5.3 Chain Cleaner that lets you put the handle on either side making it e-bike compatible. Why? You can’t pedal a mid-motor mounted e-bike backwards (the chain won’t move) so you have to flip the cleaner around so you can pedal and clean forward.

Their TS-2 stands get extenders to make them 29er compatible and work with wider hubs. This new one has a slot below the axle “V” to hold e-bike hubs so they don’t rotate.

  1. We got the WH-1 at work and I gotta say, it’s been one of the most useful tools in our collection. We use it way more than I thought we would.
