Shutt VR, a newcomer to the cycling apparel world, is a British startup that prides itself on being designed and made in Britain…by Brits.
Let go because his job became “redundant”, co-founder Simon Warren worked with fellow avid cyclist Alex Raistrick to get Shutt VR going all the quicker, despite the economy.  The clothing line sets itself apart by using high quality materials in typically British subdued tones rather than garish neon and bright team colors.
The jerseys are made of Dri-Wool, a combination of merino wool and polyester, to keep you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cool, all the while wicking moisture away to keep you dry.  They’re available in several colorways (Black, Red, Mid Blue, Mercury – Grey, Soft Blue, Olive and Dark Green) and four styles, long and short sleeve, ranging from £55 to £70…not bad for a merino wool jersey.

Since Shutt VR is a small company with access to lots of fabric, they can offer Bespoke, custom cycling clothing.  The process takes only 3 weeks to fill an order.  Contact them from their website to get started.
They also just launched a women’s jersey using the same Dri-Wool material.  All of Shutt’s pieces are cut with a racing bias, but made to fit cyclists with “normal” bodies, not just the super-fit.
