It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a limited edition bike from Intense built around that lovely green DVO suspension, but they are back again with the new Recluse all mountain trail bike. Introduced last summer the Recluse gets a shorter 140mm of fixed rear wheel travel paired with 150mm up front for a nimble all mountain feel over the newest iteration of the Tracer’s longer 165mm of enduro shredding legs. The Recluse DVO limited edition bike of course goes with DVO suspension – a Diamond fork & Topaz shock – plus an Eagle 1×12 drivetrain and some matching finishing touches along the way. While the last limited run had just 250 bikes made, this one goes even more exclusive down to only 100. So if you think you need one, you better get on the line with your local Intense dealer now…
The limited edition Recluse DVO starts of with a stock unidirectional hi-mod carbon SL monocoque frame & matching UD carbon rear triangle, with 140mm of Intense’s iBox pivot suspension. Starting off with the SL ti frame hardware, it also gets special green anodized main pivot hardware to match the DVO suspension. The new build was inspired by the successful collaboration with DVO on the Tracer DVO back in 2015, and pairs the elite tunable performance of DVO their shorter travel 27.5″ trail bike.
The limited Recluse DVO gets a Boost-space DVO Diamond 27.5 air fork with 150mm of travel, paired to a DVO Topaz T3 Air shock to deliver the Recluse’s 140mm of rear wheel travel. Each one in the 100 bike series gets individually numbered, and includes a matching certificate of authenticity.
Interestingly the DVO bike is a step up from the bike build that was originally touted as the Recluse Limited Edition at launch back last August that stuck with Fox suspension and an XX1 build, but seems to have been superseded by the new bike for a new model year.
Besides the matching suspension and frame hardware, the limited Recluse DVO gets a green color-matched set of Intense Recon Trail Carbon 27.5″ wheels, matching green Fabric Scoop Radius Elite saddle, and green Intense Dual Lock-on grips.
Rounding out the build, the limited Recluse DVO gets a SRAM X01 Eagle 1×12 drivetrain, a RockShox Reverb Stealth 150mm dropper post, and Magura MT Trail 180mm brakes.
Check with your local dealer for pricing, but it won’t come cheap for sure.
