Timbuk 2 dropped a new bag, the Commute Messenger, that’ll hold laptops, iPads and other electronic devices in separate compartments. It features inside compartments lined with faux fur for storing electronics and the outer shell is nylon with a waterproof TPU front flap. There’s two water bottle pockets and an array of other features catered to frequent travelers. Available in three sizes, the small holds laptops up to 14.4 in, medium 17.1 in, and large 17.5 in. Pricing is $109, $119, and $129 respectively.

Designed around TSA standards, it shouldn’t cause trouble at airports because it zips open for easy scanning. Also,a luggage pass through allows the bag to mount on wheeled suitcases.
As with many Timbuk 2 bags, the Commute Messenger comes in many colors – Black/Herringbone (above), Green/Gray, Orange/Brown, Black/Blue and Black.
Chrome shrunk their Buran messenger to the Mini Buran. Laptops up to 15.4 inches will fit in a padded laptop sleeve integrated to the interior of the bag. There’s other organization pockets throughout for more valuables. Constructed the same way as other bags, just smaller, the Mini Buran gets a padded eva foam shoulder strap and waterproof truck tarp lining the inside and a denier Cordura outer shell. There’s no pricing yet, but it should be available soon through Chrome’s website.
