The super sized White Style jumps pushed the airtime level in freeriding and turned a lot of heads last January. The upcoming fifth anniversary of the one and only mountain bike winter slopestyle contest is about to hit Leogang on January 29th. Expect a world-class set of riders and a mind-blowing slopestyle course built out of snow and wood.

The head of course construction, Kona Clump team rider Grant “Chopper” Fielder, puts all his creative power into the design for 2010: “I will stick to a similar finish with the step up step down part leading towards some big ass jumps, as I believe that the riders really liked these big hitters last time as well as it is a great spectators point. But there will be some changes nearer the top, to improve this section that was pretty challenging due to the pretty soft snow last time. The riders that liked the last set up will like it even better this year. I’m hoping to get a snow igloo in there somewhere too!”

In 2009, 23 riders from 12 countries rocked Chopper’s slopestyle course. Among them were all the European big names like Andreu Lacondeguy, Martin Soedertstroem, Benny Korthaus, Lance McDermott, Trond Hansen, Yannick Granieri, Amir Kabbani, or Sam Pilgrim.
