Chariot Skates Let You Bicycle Around Town Without The Bike

The Chariot Skates use bicycle tires (yes, you pump them up) along with inline skate wheels built into 5.5lb ankle harnesses that allow you to combine cycling, skating and cross-country skiing into one.  The larger wheels let you cover rougher ground (a real obstacle for traditional inline skates) and even ski down grassy slopes.  The carbon composite construction allows for full foot flexion, unlike skate boots, but still has full ankle support and protection.

Put on a mask and some body armor, line up your kid’s Hot Wheels, strap on the Chariot Skates and you can create rolling mayhem just like in Transformers:

They’re still in prototype stage, so it’ll be Summer before you can get yours, but there’s video of them in use after the break…along with some seriously insane real-life “transformer” roller blading…
