No22 Bicycles’ Broken Arrow gained a disc brake thru axle option at last year’s show thanks to the then-new TRP fork. Now, they’ve done it one better by designing their own carbon fiber fork that’s built around flat mount disc brakes.

The titanium frame also gets a few updates, including a switch to (or the option of) the new T47 threaded bottom bracket standard and flat mount rear brake mounts, too. They’ve also used it as the platform for their new Drifter gravel road bike…

Their new fork uses a slim design with recessed caliper mount.

The T47 bottom bracket provides a secure, threaded install with specific designs for 24mm, 30mm and GXP crank spindles. The result is a purpose built design that should be squeak and creak free without the issues of pressed in cups.

The Drifter is their new gravel road bike that’s based on the Broken Arrow, but with a slightly lower BB and longer chainstays for better stability and more “in the bike” road feel. It shares the same fork, BB and flat mount brake features.

The Great Divide road bike also gets the T47 BB option. It’s also available with disc brakes.

Another new model for 2016 is the Old King, a race-oriented 29er hardtail. It gets Boost 148mm rear axle spacing, a T47 BB and externally butted 3/2.5 titanium tubes.

The curved seat tube keeps the chainstays at a short 435mm (17.1″), and there’s clearance for up to 29×2.35 tires. Frame only is $2,999, as is the Broken Arrow and Drifter.

The lack of rack and fender mounts on the two gravel bikes is a shame.

Speak with your wallet. There’s plenty of Ti builders that have fender eyelets as an option. Your comment shows an utter lack of tact, and for no good reason but to whine.

Brian –

We offer rack and fender mounts as an option on the frame. We hope to soon introduce fender mounts on the gravel/cx fork, too.
