One of the premier OG British bicycle companies, Orange Mountain Bikes has been kicking out the jams since 1988. Nearly everything mountain bike related has changed since then, but since production on their first full suspension bike started in 1998 one thing has remained – their dedication to the durability and simplicity of the single pivot. That extends to their latest additions, the new Stage 5 and Stage 6. Designed specifically for fast riding and enduro racing, the two models have been introduced with limited edition ‘Launch’ models, decked out with some of the most drool worthy parts available…
Starting with the Stage 6, this bike is a 150/160mm travel 29er that should be perfectly suited to the gnarliest tracks on the enduro circuit. A big part of that ability is the introduction of new “enduro race honed” geometry with a longer top tube and wheel base designed around shorter stems, wider bars, and a 65.5° head tube angle. Frame details include internal cable routing, Boost axle spacing, and a 73mm threaded bottom bracket. The Stage 6 LE above includes a 1×11 Shimano XT drivetrain with Hope crank as well as a complementing Hope package, matching RaceFace/Hope wheels, and Fox Factory Kashima suspension and Transfer dropper post for £5,500 ($6968).
Features:
- Handbuilt in Britain

The Stage 5 is a very similar bike, but with 135/140mm of travel front and rear for more of a fast trail bike that can still handle challenging terrain. Still a 29er with the monocoque aluminum frame and single pivot suspension, the Stage 5 LE gets a similar blinged out build and the same retail price of £5,500 ($6968). Both bikes come in M, L, and XL frame sizes and will begin shipping this March.
