Bikemag.com spotted this 7-speed cassette aboard Stevie Smith’s Devinci at the Fort William World Cup Downhill race this past weekend.
Moving the chain across it is a very short caged XX1-style derailleur with a horizontal parallelogram and the wide/narrow teeth on the pulley wheels. The knuckle’s emblazoned with the Blackbox logo and holds a clutch mechanism. Word is some of the athletes like a full featured wide range cassette, and some just want a wider range between cogs…but fewer of them.
