Arizona’s State Bicycle Co. continues to provide riders with affordable, well-designed bicycles with the release of the new 2026 4130 Trail Hardtail. This is the 4130 Trail’s second year, and it features some notable upgrades while remarkably maintaining the bike’s original price point.

As a good hardtail should, the State 4130 Trail can handle a range of terrain, from singletrack trails to urban riding and bikepacking adventures. The bike got its name because the frame construction uses 4130 chromoly steel.

4130 chromoly is known for its durability and high strength-to-weight ratio. And it can also be very compliant across different riding conditions.

What’s New?
For the updated model, State Bicycle Co. has equipped the 4130 Trail with Shimano Deore M6100 components paired with an 11-50T cassette. The Deore groupset provides reliable shifting performance straight from the bike shop without requiring immediate upgrades.

Quick Feature List
- Progressive Trail Geometry — Slack 65° head angle, low-slung top tube, and long front-center for stability when the trail gets rowdy (without killing the fun in corners).
- NEW: 12-Speed Deore Drivetrain — Built around Shimano Deore M6100, paired with an 11–50T cassette for big climbing range and clean, reliable shifting.
- UDH Compatibility — Future-proofed for modern drivetrain tech and easier maintenance
- Double-Butted 4130 Chromoly Steel Frame — Tough, smooth, and built to take a beating
- Internal Dropper Routing (31.6mm) — Hassle-free dropper upgrades
- Threaded BB (73mm BSA) — Reliable, creak-free, easy service
- More Mounting Points — Triple bottle cage mounts on the downtube for longer days and bigger plans
- RockShox Psylo Silver RC Fork (130mm / 35mm stanchions) — Motion Control damper + Solo Air spring with premium bushings for smooth, controlled trail performance

Focused on Versatility
State made sure the bike’s design focused on versatility, allowing riders to use it across multiple riding styles. That means that the 4130 Trail will shine on technical singletrack, shredding shortcuts through city streets, or even loading it up for a multi-day bikepacking trip.

Blend that with the progressive trail geometry, Shimano component selection, and approachable price, and this will become your new favorite MTB.

State Bicycle Co. offers additional upgrade options for riders who want to customize their setup further. The company has kept the pricing accessible while adding these component improvements, making it an option for riders looking for a capable mountain bike without a premium price tag.
