This week saw the debut of our 2016 Philly Bike Show pre-interviews, which Anna took to the next level by turning the builders loose on each other. Each interview lets the interviewee come up with the questions for the next subject, which simply builds on the crazy and cool, question after question. So far we’ve got the main intro with Bilenky, then Eric Baar of Ground Up Speed Shop, who sent the questions to Megan Dean of Moth Attack. Oh, and Monday’s installment promises to be bonkers.
From there, we looked at Wren’s superlight stems and decided they’re really good, just maybe a bit too light for enduro. Scary in another way is the Skunk Lock, which sprays would be bike thieves with something that might just make them puke.
Switching back to normal, several new bikes popped up, including a much more wallet friendly alloy version of the new Niner JET9 that took their brand to a new place by building in 27.5+ compatibility in addition to their namesake 29er wheels. Wilier opened things up for plus sized tires, too, with a killer bike packing model and lots, lots more. Check the headlines for everything else from this past week below…
